The CitruSolution Carpet Cleaning Process begins with a complete pre-spray of the carpet with our exclusive citrus solvent based product.
We then use a rotary brush and bonnet system to clean the carpet, and finish with a complete vacumming with an Lindhaus "Healthpro" commercial HEPA vacuum. The key to this process is in the remarkable cleaning ability of the CitruSolution that repels the dirt and most stains from the carpet fibers without using soaps, shampoos, or harsh chemicals. This cleanser from nature is non-polluting and biodegradable. It is safe for use around children and pets.
Most pet stains and odors disappear after cleaning with the CitruSolution process. In the case of stubborn odors, adding our Benefect antimicrobial disinfectant and deodorizer usually cures the problem.
CitruSolution is a low moisture fluid process using our cleaner extracted from lemon,orange, and grapefruit peels! You take your fine clothes to the cleaners to avoid damage caused by soap and water; the same should be true when cleaning your carpets and rugs.
First, we spray the rug or carpet with a light mist of the CitruSolution - enough to make the carpet fibers slightly damp. We use approximately 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon of the CitruSolution to clean a normal-sized room.
Then, we use an industrial buffer with a circular brush and a bonnet pad to brush the carpet. This brush circulates at 3 revolutions per second and ensures that all the carpet fibers are covered with the CitruSolution. While the fibers are being brushed, the bonet is constantly wiping the carpet fibers and picking up the dirt and stains that are being repelled by the CitruSolution. The brush action pulls up dirt, hair, and other debris from deep in the carpet nap to the surface.
The buffer is very heavy and the weight of the buffer presses the brush into the carpet fibers. Dirt, dust mites, pet dander and pet hair work their way deep among the carpet or rug fibers that even a commercial vacuum cannot remove. Our buffer reaches down and pulls these environmental irritants to the surface.
We do not "wash" your carpets as others do; we clean them. No soap, dirty waste water to dispose of, no soggy squishy carpets for you to walk on. CitruSolution is an Eco-friendly cleaning process.
NOTE: Only the carpet fibers are dampened.
After a few minutes, we vacuum the carpet with a commercial HEPA vacuum cleaner. This vacuum cleaner is very powerful and ensures that all the loose dirt, hair, and debris is removed from the carpet. The carpet is now clean and will dry very quickly. Most carpets are dry within two hours, and the room will retain its natural citrus fragrance for several days. You will notice that the colors in your rugs and carpets brighten over the next day or so after cleaning because CitruSolution continues to work to reverse soap yellowing until it fully evaporates.
The CitruSolution process does not leave residue in your carpet, unlike other carpet cleaning services that use water extraction to remove a portion of the soap used on your carpet. They are never successful in removing 100% of the soap solution. Because this soap and water solution is not completely removed, dirt will immediately begin to adhere to the carpet fibers. The CitruSolution is constantly repelling the dirt from the carpet fibers. With a weekly vacuuming program, your carpet will stay cleaner, longer.
Your upholstery is cleaned using the same CitruSolution used in cleaning your carpet and rugs.
First, we apply a light spray of the CitruSolution to the fabric. Then, we hand-rub or use a hand buffer to lift the soil from the furniture. The CitruSolution is essentially repelling the dirt from the fibers and neutralizing skin oils. The terry towel removes the repelled dirt from the surface. Cleaning furniture this way is time-consuming but effective.
Normally, it will take about a half hour to completely clean a sofa, and in the process, we will use about a half-gallon of the CitruSolution. The furniture is now clean and slightly damp, but will be dry in a matter of 1-2 hours.
